The desk spine
Eight hours at a screen, then a commute, then the couch. We unwind the pattern, not just the pain — hips, thoracic spine, and the habits that keep it coming back.
Chiropractic · Toronto · Est. 2014
Meridian Spine & Body is a small chiropractic practice in Toronto's Junction. We treat the whole person — not just the joint that hurts — with measured hands, honest advice, and no pressure to sign up for a year of visits you don't need.
Est. 2014 · 289 Wallace Ave, Toronto
Meridian opened in the summer of 2014 in a converted hardware store on Wallace Avenue, two doors down from the Junction's old train bridge. The idea was simple: a chiropractor's office that felt less like a clinic and more like a workshop — where you could ask questions without a clock running, and where "maintenance" meant something you chose, not something you were sold.
Dr. Elena Marchetti runs the practice with two associates, Dr. Sam Okafor and Dr. Priya Nair. Between them they cover sports injury, prenatal and postnatal care, and the everyday desk-and-screen strain that most of Toronto quietly lives with. Every new patient gets a full hour on the table — history, movement screen, and a plan you actually understand before you agree to it.
We're not a high-volume clinic. We see a limited number of patients a day on purpose, because the work — real, lasting work — takes time. If that means a wait for a first appointment, we think it's worth it. So do most of our patients.

Hung like a gallery wall — each one a different kind of work
Eight hours at a screen, then a commute, then the couch. We unwind the pattern, not just the pain — hips, thoracic spine, and the habits that keep it coming back.
From weekend runners to competitive lifters. We work with your coach and physio to get you back to the sport you love — stronger, not just pain-free.
Gentle, evidence-based care through pregnancy and postpartum. Pelvic alignment, rib and thoracic relief, and a plan that respects your changing body.
Tension headaches, jaw clenching, that knot between your shoulder blades. We treat the neck and the stress that lives in it — and show you what to do between visits.
A maintenance visit for people who want to stay ahead of the ache. Twenty minutes, a few targeted adjustments, and homework you'll actually do.
A bad lift, a fall on the ice, a twist reaching for something. We see acute injuries fast — often same-day — to keep a small problem from becoming a long one.
Measured, honest, no upsell
Your first visit is an hour. We take a full history, watch how you move, and ask what's actually getting in the way of your life — not just where it hurts.
You'll know what we found, why it matters, and every step of the plan before we touch you. No jargon, no mystery, no "trust me."
Adjustments are the start, not the whole story. We pair them with movement, ergonomics, and habits so the fix outlasts the appointment.
Some people come weekly for a season, some monthly for years, some once and never again. We recommend what we'd do for our own family — then let you decide.
